The market is down some to start the morning, but overall, it's still near the same level we saw it reach on Monday, which is high. The S&P 500 is around 7,740 right now.
I didn't have any trades close today. Some of my Energy positions are up right now from where they were yesterday, but a trade isn't over until it's over. I typically don't put too much time into monitoring positions' profitability before the trade is over, because I've learned over time that anything can happen before the position gets sold. I've also learned that I can't control its outcome anyway, and since I'll be following my trading rules regardless, the only impact of me monitoring the trades before they close is to take me on an emotional roller coaster. I prefer to stay grounded, keep life simple, and stick to the plan.
There haven't been any new trades yet today. I have buy limit orders in for the tickers at the top of the watch list (both stocks and options), but none have filled yet.
