The market is up to start the morning. And it had a big green day yesterday overall. These are encouraging signs in general.
That said, one of my stock trades hit its stop loss yesterday (the first COP trade). Sometimes that happens: the market goes one way, and a position of mine goes another. It can be fun when that works out in my favor, but this time it did not. It's all part of the trading experience that we have to live through, as backtests show that this happens from time to time, and regardless, there is no way to completely avoid losing trades.
I took on some new positions today, and also picked up some new trades later in yesterday's trading session. In the stocks account, I bought positions for PSX and MPC. In the options account, I bought options for PSX. At this point, I have pretty heavy exposure in the Energy sector.
