The market is close to where it was yesterday when I emailed. The S&P 500 is around 4,480 right now.
Luck was on my side yesterday because the market went up right as I had four options positions reaching their time limits. All four had been in the red earlier this week, but by the time they closed, they ended up as a net wash (which was like a victory considering the hole they were in all week). Then after those positions got closed, the market dropped 20 points overnight.
The timing worked in my favor on those. It doesn't always work out that way, so I'm going to remember this experience and remind myself of it next time the timing doesn't work out well on a particular position. It goes both ways, and it helps to stay aware of that.
I picked up a couple new stock positions this morning. I bought stock for CDNS in the main account this morning. I also bought shares of HAS stock in the double down account.
