The market is still showing signs of volatility. The S&P 500 went down 50 points yesterday, only to gain it all back by the end of the day. And then today, it's back down again as of right now. Let's see if it rebounds again before the day is over.
I had a few positions get closed today. My MRVL stock and option positions both hit their profit targets this morning. My FXI stock position reached its time limit, so I manually closed that one this morning. FXI ended with a loss that was about the same magnitude as the victory I had on MRVL stock.
That MRVL option win was nice because I have a lot of other option positions open right now, which means a lot of risk on the table. It's almost like a squirrel storing nuts for the winter: that profit from MRVL and the other option victories I had earlier this week gives me a buffer against the risk I still have on the table with my remaining open option positions.
I only took on one new trade today. I bought a stock position for Allstate in the stocks account.
