The S&P 500 is at about the same price as it was when the market closed yesterday. Overall, the market is still hanging out near its all time highs.
My ORCL stock position reached its time limit this morning. So I did my normal procedure and I set up a sell market order for it before the market opened. That one locked in a profit.
Typically, that sell market order fills instantly when the opening bell rings. But this time, it took a bit for it to fill. And the stock price went down a small chunk in the meantime. It's not an ideal scenario, but 1) it's rare and I really don't have any control over it when this sort of thing happens, and 2) it also goes the other way in those rare instances when it occurs. So I just go with the flow and move on to the next trade.
I took on some new trades today. In the stocks account, I bought positions for MPC and LYFT. In the options account, I bought the options for LYFT.
