The market took a plunge yesterday. The S&P 500 dropped about 50 points net, although it reached down even further during the day. This morning, the S&P 500 is just a bit above where it was when it closed yesterday.
My portfolio doesn't look particularly pretty right now. I have a mixed bag in terms of the profitability of my open trades, and it's been a tough week for my stocks account up until now. Some weeks are rainbows and sunshine, and other weeks, like this one, are messy or even turbulent. They're all part of the trading experience. My live trading has shown me that, and the backtest research shows the same thing. I try to remind myself that it's a long term approach, and that any one week isn't going to make or break the entire plan.
I've taken on just one new trade so far today. I bought shares of ACN in the stocks account.
I have a number of option trades that reached their time limits today. I'll be manually closing those near the end of the trading session today unless they reach their profit targets before then.
