Hey Guys,
The market has been showing signs of volatility the last two days. Yesterday the S&P 500 dropped about 35 points midday, but recovered for the most part by the end of the day. But then it gapped down overnight and is starting the morning red.
I had two stock positions take losses this morning. One was for PINS, which dropped like a rock overnight and hit its stop loss this morning. The other was BIDU, which reached its time limit. That position was never happy from the moment I bought it.
As much intelligence as there is behind these trading decisions, there will certainly be trades that don't work out, just like those two. I've learned from the research and from my live trading experience that losing trades aren't abnormal, and I make no secret about that. So although I don't enjoy mornings like this, I still understand they will occasionally happen.
I took on a few new trades today. In the stocks account, I bought positions for NTAP and and Home Depot. In the options account, I bought options for NTAP.
If you have any questions or feedback, I'd love to hear from you.
