Mindful Trader Commentary For March 9, 2021

I also wanted to point out that there is a position I have open for the MES futures. It has no expiration (I'm referring to the "half size" position). If the MES futures close above yesterday's high (3850.00) today without hitting the profit target or stoploss, then I'll be manually closing the position at 3pm PST when the futures market re-opens later today. (I added a new "special instructions" column to my live trades, and in the future I'll post instructions like this in that column up front when I initially make the trade if applicable.)

SCHW (Schwab) came close to triggering a purchase this morning. For those who have chosen to learn my stock trading strategy (totally optional), you could have chosen to be a little more aggressive about the entry than me and have gotten into SCHW already and be riding the profit. I'm ok with missing it; I'll be here ready for it if it comes back down.

EXR hit the profit target today, which was nice after getting so close and failing yesterday.

One more tip. Although I've already explained to everyone that I don't think it's necessary to see my stock picks the moment I post them, a number of subscribers have talked to me about how they plan to stay abreast of new stock picks that get posted. You might appreciate some of these ideas:

Check for new stock picks after checking your email each morning (in other words, making it a morning routine).

Create a shortcut on your phone or desktop that gives a visual reminder to check for stock picks.

Set a recurring alarm or calendar reminder that goes off each day when you want to check for stock picks.

Set up a browser extension (like a Chrome extension) that automatically checks a webpage for changes and gives an alert when there is a change. If you do a Google search for "app that checks webpage for changes" you might see some softwares that can do this.

If you have any questions or feedback, I'd love to hear from you.
