The market is still driving upward. It's unbelievable to see this strength after the market turbulence we saw the first couple months of the year. And yet I've seen this type of thing happen so many times: the market is volatile and there is an expectation by many that doom is on the horizon, and then the market suddenly charges straight up right smack in the middle of the volatility. It's fascinating and hard to understand sometimes, yet it happens repeatedly in the stock market.
My trading account balances seem to be going a bit higher each day. I sold another position today for a profit (KBR from the low-priced account, which reached its time limit).
I bought DGX this morning in the main account. It came right off the watch list and filled automatically for me from a buy limit order I had set up before the market opened.
I earned a dividend on NTR by owning the stock as of the close of the day yesterday and into this morning. No action will be needed to receive the dividend. Most brokerages will just credit it to your account automatically at some point in the coming weeks.
