The market boomed yesterday and overnight after the Fed made an announcement about rate cuts. The S&P 500 is at 5,250 right now, an all time high.
It's been like getting money out of the ATM for me since the announcement. Six different positions hit their profit targets across all accounts.
Some were from trades I had just taken yesterday, like W. That one had a huge green candle yesterday, and I already hit the profit target on both my option and stock positions.
Another fun one was WDC. That one had been moping around all week, and then it gapped up overnight. By the opening bell, it was above my profit targets for both my stock and option positions, and I ended up with oversized profits on both. The option position, in particular, was a great haul. The profits from that position alone were enough to increase my account value by 4.4%. Not bad for a one-week investment on a single position.
I have other option positions that reached their time limits today, so I'll be manually closing those right near the closing bell today unless they reach their profit targets first.
I did pick up one new position today. I bought a stock position for CHD in the main account.
