Mindful Trader Commentary For March 19, 2026

Hey Guys,

The S&P 500 had a noticeably red day yesterday and then gapped down another chunk overnight.  The S&P 500 is around 6,580 right now, which is the lowest price we've seen since last November.  There clearly continues to be volatility in the air.

I took on some new positions today.  Both of them were in the stocks account.  I bought shares of SPOT and ROST.  My stocks portfolio is starting to fill back up.  I'm up to five active positions again.  It feels nice to have a little more skin in the game there.  Let's see how these trades turn out.

I still only have one active option position.  So I don't have a lot of risk exposure there.  Perhaps that helped me over the last 24 hours since I largely sidestepped any turbulence from that market drop.  I'm just going with the flow and sticking to the rules of the trading strategy.
