Hey Guys,
The market is still in volatility mode. The MES futures had a 100-point range yesterday. They are around 3,900 this morning.
I haven't taken on any new positions yet today. I've got buy limit orders set up for the tickers on the watch list, but none have filled yet.
My futures position from yesterday hit its profit target overnight. The SPXL stock equivalent, though, did not since it's only traded during normal market hours and the profit target wasn't reached during that time. That's one of the differences between futures and stocks: futures trade almost 24 hours a day.
My brokerage told me that I was issued a dividend on CRH overnight, and it was a pretty chunky one at $1.03 per share. Anyone who owned CRH also got the dividend, and typically no action is needed to receive it. Most brokerages will automatically credit it to your account at some point in the next several weeks.
I have two options positions that are reaching their time limits today. I'll manually close both near the end of trading today unless they reach their profit targets first. That BUD option has been all over the place -- it started out with profit, then had the huge gap down on Tuesday night, then a bright green bar yesterday, and as of now we're back at breakeven. That's a wild roller coaster to go on only to end up back at breakeven. But I'll take it compared to how it looked at the start of yesterday. Let's see if it holds up until the end of the day.
If you have any questions or feedback, I'd love to hear from you.
