Hey Guys,
The market got volatile yesterday after the Fed made an announcement. The S&P 500 dropped 100 points. It's rebounded some this morning, but it's wiggling around a lot.
The week started out well overall, but it ended with a thud. I had three stock positions take losses this morning. SMCI reached its time limit and landed in the red. And CTSH gapped down overnight, which wasn't a good thing for me since I had two stock positions for that one ticker. Both of them hit their stop losses.
And for my options account, I had four positions that reached their time limits and got closed at 7am Pacific this morning. One of those was for CTSH and was nearly a full loss. My AKAM option position also didn't fare well. They turned my profitable week into a red week.
It's not fun to live through tough days like this, but they're bound to happen, even if you're trading with an edge. I try to keep the big picture in mind, and that helps me live through the tough days.
I took on one new trade today. I bought shares of DHR in the stocks account. I also picked up new option positions yesterday for RH and BAX in the options account.
