I closed a lot of positions today. There were a bunch hitting their time limits. Just as a reminder, for stocks that reach their time limits, I like to close the positions using a market order at the open.
I closed AEM and IP for a profit. I also closed my NEM option for a loss.
In my extra options account, I closed all three expiring options positions for a loss. But overall for the week, I had a net profit of about 1.2% due to the winner on the CRWD options trade. This week might be emblematic of how a lot of weeks could be with that account. Overall I expect the win rate in the options-only account to be less than 50%, but some of the winners will noticeably outsize the losers.
I bought BNS this morning. It's another heavy financial stock. There are other tickers on the watch list that are heavy financial stocks like this. My buying power right now is limited, so if other stocks end up meeting my trade criteria today, I might not be able to buy them (although I would buy the options for them if they qualify).
