The market is up a bit this morning. The S&P 500 is hanging out around 4,415 right now.
The profit bell rang three times for me this morning. I had two stock positions gap up past their profit targets to give me slightly oversized profits (XYL and DFS). Also, my LH stock position reached its time limit and I locked in a partial profit on that one.
DFS really paid off. I had positions for both my main strategy and my double down strategy, both for stocks and options, and all of them reached their profit targets. I took on a lot of risk on one ticker, and this time it paid off. It doesn't always work out that way, so I'm noticing this and letting it sink in. I like to make it a point to remember the really profitable trades so that at other times, when losing trades occur, I have those memories to help me stay cool.
I took on one new stock position today so far. I bought shares of PANW in the main account.
