Hey Guys,
The market is still volatile. The market went up noticeably on Friday but then erased its gains over the weekend. This thing is bouncing all over the place.
I feel thankful that a few of my options positions hit their profit targets on Friday (EXPE, TMUS, and ADM). They locked in the profit just in time before the market came down. At the moment I don't have a ton of positions open, so I'm not overly affected by market movements one way or another right now.
That said, I did pick up a new MES futures position today. For those who are not interested in trading futures, you can consider following the "stock equivalent" of the futures trade. I posted that as well using the ticker SPXL. The trading strategy that got triggered was MT 97 from this page.
I closed out a couple of stock positions from the low-priced account this morning since they reached their time limits. OXY got closed for a minor loss and MDRX got closed for a more substantial loss.
I earned a dividend for MCK over the weekend. By owning the stock as of the closing bell on Friday, I am on the books to be issued a dividend. No action is needed to receive the dividend. Most brokerages will automatically credit it to your account in the coming weeks.
If you have any questions or feedback, I'd love to hear from you.
