The S&P 500 set an all-time high this morning. It seemed improbable that this would happen back at the end of the day on Wednesday last week after the market had been already been scuffling and then suffered a big red day. But here we are, less than a week later, and we're at a new all-time high. It's a great example of how you can never tell for sure what's coming next in the market.
I had three different stock positions get closed today. My STT trade reached its profit target. My WELL trade reached its stop loss. My LNG trade reached its time limit and also landed in the losing column. That put an end to my winning streak. It was a nice run: I got up to 16 straight winning trades before the two losses today.
I took on new trades today. In the stocks account, I bought positions for BIP and LYB. In the options account, I bought options for XOM and CVX.
