The market is down to start the day. After the S&P 500 reached the 6,500 mark for the first time yesterday, it is down 35 points to start the morning today.
Those three option trades that reached their time limits yesterday ended up with a net profit. The trades for Wayfair and Pepsi options landed profits while the trade for SRPT options came in with a loss. Overall for the week, my options account went up 2.7%. That's pretty nice considering the S&P 500 is at the same price point as it was to end last week.
I took on one new trade this morning. I bought a position for EWJ in my stocks account. Even though I don't have many active positions, some of the ones I do have are pretty heavy. As a result, I have limited buying power in my stocks account right now. I can only take on a relatively light new position at this point until one of my other positions gets cleared out. When I say "light", I mean one where the position value is relatively low.
